Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains how Compare Insurance collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you request life insurance quotes through us, for example through one of our forms on Facebook or Instagram, or when you visit this website. We handle your personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Compare Insurance is a trading name of Landing Pages io Marketing Management FZE, Licence No. 3564, registered office: The One Tower, Floor 18, Office 17, Sheikh Zayed Road, Barsha Heights, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Compare Insurance", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@compareinsurance.life.
2. What we do
We are a life insurance introduction service. We collect your request for life insurance quotes and pass it to our partners, who are FCA authorised insurance brokers and providers in the United Kingdom, and lead distribution platforms that work on their behalf. Those partners contact you with quotes. We are not an insurer and we do not give advice.
3. The personal data we collect
When you request quotes, we collect:
- Contact details: your full name, email address and mobile phone number.
- Location: your UK postcode, where we ask for it.
- Your insurance needs: who you want to cover, how many years of cover you need, roughly how much cover you want and whether you already have life insurance.
- Information used to price cover: your age band and whether you smoke. Smoking status is information about your health. We only collect it because you choose to give it to us so that you can receive accurate quotes.
- Technical and request data: the date and time of your request, the form and advert you used, and the result of the one-time code we send to confirm your phone number.
When you only visit this website, our hosting provider processes standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the page and keep it secure. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
4. Where your data comes from
We receive your data directly from you. If you use a form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited passes the answers you enter to us. Meta's own use of your data is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.
5. How we use your data and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Passing your request to our partners so that an FCA authorised insurance provider can contact you by phone, SMS or email with quotes | Your consent, which you give when you submit your request (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). For smoking status: your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) UK GDPR) |
| Confirming your phone number with a one-time code and checking that your request is genuine and complete | Our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and passing on accurate requests (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Keeping records of your request and your consent, handling questions, complaints and requests to stop contact | Our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) and our legitimate interest in being able to show what you agreed to (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Improving our forms and adverts using statistics that do not identify you | Our legitimate interest in running our service well (Article 6(1)(f)) |
We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Whether you are offered cover and at what price is decided by the insurer.
6. Who we share your data with
- Insurance partners: FCA authorised insurance brokers and providers in the UK, and lead distribution platforms that pass your request to them. They use your data to contact you and give you quotes, and they become controllers of your data under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers: companies that host our systems, store data, send verification codes and provide email, under contracts that only allow them to use your data on our instructions.
- Authorities: regulators, courts or law enforcement where the law requires it.
We never sell your personal data for marketing that has nothing to do with your insurance request.
7. International transfers
Our company is based in the United Arab Emirates and some of our service providers are located outside the UK. Where your personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected, for example by using the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses issued by the Information Commissioner, or by relying on UK adequacy regulations.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep the details of your request for up to 24 months after we receive it, so that we can answer questions, handle complaints and show the consent you gave. After that we delete it or make it anonymous. If you ask us to stop contact, we keep a minimal record of your phone number and email address so that we can make sure you are not contacted again.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email hello@compareinsurance.life. We reply within one month. To stop being contacted, use the subject "Unsubscribe" and give the phone number you used. We will remove your details and ask our partners to stop contacting you. Partners who already received your request are controllers in their own right, so you can also contact them directly.
10. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections, access controls and limited access for staff and service providers who need it.
11. Children
Our service is only for adults aged 18 or over who live in the UK. We do not knowingly collect data about children.
12. Complaints to the regulator
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
